ABC Television (New York, New York, 212-456-7777): Jonathan Barzilay is the new senior VP and general manager of children’s programming. He was formerly VP and GM.

Alliance (Toronto, Canada, 416-961-1174): Suzanne French is the new VP of the Canadian company’s toon endeavour. She was previously in charge of creative development and business management for YTV and Treehouse TV co-productions.

Animal Planet (Bethesda, Maryland, 301-986-0444): Jaye Toellner joins as director, on-air promotion. Prior to joining, Toellner worked at the Disney Channel for two years, where she oversaw all phases of on-air national acquisition campaigns, and directed the development of the channel’s multimedia branding efforts.

Brilliant Digital Entertainment (Woodland Hills, California, 818-346-3653): Lisa Eisenpresser joins as VP, strategic development. Her position focuses on developing alliances with on-line networks and production studios.

Children’s Television Workshop (New York, New York, 212-595-3456): Sherrie Rollins joins as executive VP, marketing and communications. Rollins will be responsible for CTW’s strategic positioning, branding and communications, as well as overseeing its public television affiliate relations, and education and research divisions. Rollins is currently executive VP, network communications at ABC Television Network. Julian Scott, named group VP, international production, will oversee all TV production of CTW’s international properties. Saul Melnick has been named VP, home video and audio. He will work closely with Sony Wonder, Sesame Street’s audio and video licensee. Prior to his new position, Melnick was president of Objectives Inc., an independent consulting company.

Davidson Marketing (Chicago, Illinois, 312-527-3900): Chris Lacroix has been named director, business development in the company’s Los Angeles, California office. He was previously promotions director at PolyGram Entertainment.

Discovery Networks (Bethesda, Maryland, 301-986-1999): Christine Dobday is the new director of promotions and partnerships for affiliate sales and marketing. She was formerly with CKS Partners as account director. Jodi Rubin is the new director, trade marketing and strategy. She was previously a product marketing manager for Comsat Personal Communications.

Fablevision Animation Studios (Boston, Massachussetts): Brad Larson has joined the company to work on interactive media projects for children. He was formerly an educational programmer and interactive exhibit designer at the Boston Children’s Museum.

Feld Entertainment (Vienna, Virginia, 703-448-4000): Stephen Yaros is the new VP of brand marketing and will be overseeing the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Brand. Yaros was previously regional VP for the company.

Fox Family Channel (Los Angeles, California, 310-235-9739): Julie Resh and Daniel Smith have both been appointed VPs, development of reality-based programming. Resh was formerly VP, television production and development at Dove Four Point, while Smith was VP, TV production at Samuel Goldwyn.

Golden Books Family Entertainment (New York, New York, 212-547-6700): David Callahan has been appointed the new director of sales, home video and audio. He will act as a liason between Golden Books and Sony Wonder, the children’s division of Sony. Prior to his new posting, Callahan worked as director of sales for Fox Interactive.

Hasbro (Pawtucket, Rhode Island, 401-727-5582): Wendy Riches has been appointed to the newly created post of president, global direct marketing and e-commerce. She will be responsible for the company’s overall direct marketing business, as Hasbro will begin selling products via the Internet by the end of this year. Riches was formerly chairman and CEO of OgilvyOne North America.

Hasbro Interactive (Beverly, Massachusetts, 508-921-3700): John Hurlbut joins as VP, marketing. Hurlbut has 19 years of consumer product advertising experience, and has worked on campaigns for companies such as Atari, Parker Brothers, Sega and Tiger Electronics.

HBO Family Channel (New York, New York, 212-512-1000): Delores Morris was appointed VP, original programming. She was previously VP, program development at the Children’s Television Workshop in New York.

Jim Henson Productions (Los Angeles, California, 213-960-4096): Karina Gee joins as account manager, toys, electronics, gift, stationery, collectibles and home furnishings, in the company’s consumer products division. Prior to joining Jim Henson Productions, Gee spent five years serving as a licensing assistant and coordinator for Scholastic Entertainment. While there, she worked on properties such as Goosebumps, Animorphs and Clifford the Big Red Dog. Brad Fazzari, promoted to senior account manager, toys, electronics, gift, stationery, collectibles and home furnishings, consumer products, has worked on such properties as Classic Muppets and Muppet Babies since joining the company in 1996.

Nickelodeon Latin America (Miami Beach, Florida, 305-604-5339): Antonio Canto is Nick’s new director of advertising sales. Before joining Nickelodeon, he was business development manager and district sales manager for Federal Express Corporation in Beijing, China.

PolyGram Filmed Entertainment (Los Angeles, California, 310-385-4000): Torrie Dorrell is the new VP of licensing. She was formerly VP, kids products at the Warner Music/Kid Rhino label.

Saban Entertainment ( Los Angeles, California, 310-235-5100): Mark Pinsker promoted to senior VP, special projects production. Pinsker will oversee production of Saban’s The All New Captain Kangaroo live-action television series and interstitials.

Sony Pictures Entertainment (Culver City, California, 818-972-7700): Greg Boone promoted to executive VP and associate counsel, television businesses. Boone will be responsible for all legal transactions and contracts relating to Sony Pictures Entertainment’s interactive and children’s programming divisions.

Sunbow Entertainment (New York, New York, 212-886-4900): Andrew Karpen promoted to general manager of operations, chief financial officer. Andrea Miller joins as senior VP, sales and co-production. Miller was previously at Cartoon Network, where she helped launch the network in Japan. Ken Olshansky promoted to VP, development. Olshansky won an Emmy (Chicago) for writing The Magic Door, and a CableAce award for Global Village News for Nickelodeon.
