GapKids is looking to reach kids on-line with its recently launched Web site (www.gapkids.com).
The children’s clothing retailer is using its natural links to fashion and art as a theme on its site.
With help from New York’s Museum of Modern Art, GapKids’ in-house digital marketing team has designed a Web site in which kids can walk through a virtual gallery, learn about artists and create works of their own.
Kids who enter the site can play games and find the GapKids store that is closest to them. They can also check out the latest fashions and mix and match clothing on interactive dress-up dolls. The site has a link to the Gap site (www.gap.com), where visitors can get more information about the company.
Gap operates about 1,800 stores in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Germany, France and Japan.
