-Canal J celebrates the old and new
PARIS: Canal J’s Regarde le monde (Watch the World), the only children’s current affairs program on French TV, recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. The 15-minute program, hosted by a journalist, endeavors to explain domestic and world events to kids through debates and reports. Each week, a personality in the news is invited, and 15 children age 10 to 12 discuss a theme.
Canal J has also launched a new Web site (www.club-internet.fr/canalj). The site, created in partnership with the Grolier Studio, a Lagardère Group subsidiary, is divided into color-coded sections for kids (red), teachers (green) and parents (blue).
