-Sunbow takes over merchandising for The Tick
Beginning January 1997, Sunbow Entertainment takes over the domestic merchandising of The Tick for Fox Kids Worldwide. Plans for the merchandising program include developing the existing six-to-11 age group, as well as redirecting new merchandising to include the 18-to-34 young adult group. Current licensees include Fox Interactive and American Greeting Corporation. The Tick, developed by Sunbow Entertainment from a comic strip by Ben Edlund, currently airs Saturday mornings on Fox Children’s Network and Sunday evenings on Comedy Central. Sunbow takes over from Saban, which handled the merchandising during the negotiation period.
