Studio 100 taps new licensing sales manager

Former WildBrain CPLG sales and retail manager Aleksandra Gebauer will manage the prodco's international licensing business across all categories.

Munich-based prodco Studio 100 Media has hired former WildBrain CPLG sales and retail manager Aleksandra Gebauer for the newly created role, sales manager of international licensing. She started on January 2 and reports to the company’s head of licensing Gerd Russwurm. Gebauer will manage the studio’s licensing business across all categories.

She’ll be looking to license all of Studio 100’s series, including 26 x 22-minute 100% Wolf—Legend of the Moonstone (a new six to 10-skewing show, which was the most screened program at MIP Junior last October), Heidi (65 x 22 minutes), Maya the Bee (130 x 12 minutes), Arthur and the Minimoys (26 x 24 minutes), Mia and Me (78 x 22-minutes) and Wissper (104 x seven minutes).

Prior to joining Studio 100 Media, she worked at London-based WildBrain CPLG for more than two years, where she oversaw planning and development of licensed toys, publishing, stationery and home entertainment for brands such as Peanuts and Sesame Street. She also led the company’s project management and its work acquiring licensing partners. Before that, she worked as the publishing manager of print and digital with German publisher Bulls Pressedienst.

Studio 100 has been lining up new execs recently, including naming Dorian Bühr as head of global distribution, and Barbara Stephen, the CEO of Sydney-based Flying Bark Productions, as its new CEO of content.
