Babies’R’Us and Toys’R’Us stores across the US are set to host another Great Trade-In event, which gives customers the opportunity to trade-in used cribs, car seats, bassinets, strollers, travel systems, play yards, high chairs or toddler beds in exchange for a 25% savings on the purchase of new baby items from select manufacturers.

The New Jersey-based retailer first introduced the trade-in event in September 2009 as a way to urge parents to remove unsafe items from the home and marketplace.

Roughly 300,000 potentially unsafe cribs, car seats and other baby products have so far turned up as part of the campaign. This year’s event begins January 28 and runs through February 21.
