Starz Entertainment has acquired TV rights to Vacation with Derek and Baxter from Shaftesbury Sales Company, the distribution arm of Toronto-based prodco Shaftesbury.

Vacation with Derek (1 x 90-minutes) is the movie follow-up to the series Life with Derek and sees the sibling rivalry between Derek and Casey continue when they are forced to spend summer vacation with their hard-edged grandmother at her lakeside lodge.

Tween series Baxter (13 x 30-minutes) follows a group of friends at a performing arts high school.

Shaftesbury is offering up a slate of 80 hours of kids’ entertainment to buyers at NATPE 2011.
