Who got an International Emmy Kids nom, part two?

A second round of nominees for 2020 have been revealed, with winners across just three categories to be announced in October.

The International Emmy Kids Awards are back—a bit sooner than expected—with a second set of 2020 nominees.

Typically, the International Kids Emmys take place at MIPTV in France in the spring. However, when MIPTV went online due to COVID-19, the award show also went digital. Trophies were (virtually) handed out in March, and the most recent set of awards will be presented on October 14. The accelerated schedule is due to various factors related to the COVID-19 virus, according to a press release.

It is unclear whether there will be another set of nominees and winners for the typical spring timeline in 2021, and representatives from the International Emmy Kids Awards did not return a request for comment at press time.

The International Emmys also pared down the categories for entrants to just three: animation, factual & entertainment and live actionthe preschool, digital, non-scripted and TV movie/mini-series categories have all been removed.

Nominees needed to be broadcast in the 2019 calendar year, whereas the nominees from the first batch had to air in 2018.
