HarperCollins Children’s Books UK has acquired the rights to A Brighter Fear, a teen love story that takes place during the Iraq war.

From debut author Kerry Drewery, A Brighter Fear tells the fictional story of Lina, a teenage girl who lives in Baghdad during the Iraq war. The two-book offer for world rights includes film and translation. The first book will be published next year.
