Poppy Cat, Coolabi’s brand-new animated series, will be making its US debut thanks to a broadcast deal with PBS’ 24-hour preschool TV channel Sprout.

The network, which airs in more than 50 million US households, will start broadcasting the 52 x 11-minute series later this year.

The deal was forged in advance of the series’ UK premiere in May on Nick Jr. In fact, the series has also been presold to a number of other international broadcasters including Nick Jr. (Australia), RTE (Ireland), YLE (Finland), TV2 (Norway), and TVO, SCN and Knowledge Network (all Canada).

Developed by Coolabi’s TV production arm Coolabi Productions in association with King Rollo Films, the series brings author Lara Jones’s publishing character to animated life.
