Children’s author/illustrator Emma Chichester Clark is working exclusively with HarperCollins Children’s Books UK on a new multi-title deal.
The publishing house has picked up the world rights to a series of three picture books aimed at preschoolers as well as two gift books.
The first title in the new Wagtail Town picture book series will publish in February 2012 and features Lulu – a little dog with big ideas. Similar to Clarkâs Blue Kangaroo series, the new books will lend themselves to character licensing and TV rights, which were also acquired by HarperCollins. The second book in the series is scheduled for release in February 2013 and the third in February 2014.
