New York-based Animation Collective is taking its short-format series Thumb Wrestling Federation: TWF to the iPad with Royal Thumble.
The split-screen, two-player, thumb wrestling game is available at the iTunes App Store for US$.99 and transforms the iPad into a wrestling ring using gesture-based controls to allow players to go thumb to thumb by tapping and swiping. Running congruent to the game is an in-app store where players can download characters from the series.
Royal Thumble also features weekly episodes of Thumb Wrestling Federation: TWF, which has aired on Cartoon Network in the US, YTV in Canada and CBBC in the UK.
Animation Collective says it will continue to take its other original properties into the app market in the coming year.
