Zodiak Media Group has officially launched Zodiak Active, a global division dedicated to the creation, development and production of digital and branded content across all platforms.

The new division is the result of a merger of two existing Zodiak Media Group companies – Neo Network, with offices in Milan, New York and Rio de Janeiro, and RDF Contact, which operates from London. Both companies already deal with the digital and branded content markets and have worked with such companies and brands as Sky, BBC, RAI, MTV, Mediaset and Vodafone.

Zodiak Active’s 160 employees will be led by divisional CEO Marco Ferrari (formerly CEO of Neo Network) and chairman, Giorgio Gori (CEO of Zodiak Southern Europe). The new division plans to partner with brands, media owners, mobile carriers and broadcasters to deliver content and multimedia services based on original concepts, as well as draw upon existing TV formats and entertainment brands within Zodiak Media Group’s network of 45 production companies.

Part of the De Agostini Group and headquartered in London and Paris, Zodiak Media was created in June 2010 following the acquisition of UK-based prodco RDF Media Group.
