WarnerMedia has brought in Melissa Lim as head of content acquisitions and co-productions for its kids networks in Asia Pacific. Her purview will cover POGO, Cartoon Network and Boomerang across the region.

Lim takes over for Hoyoung Jung, who left in April to join Netflix as manager of original animation for kids and family, based in Tokyo. She will also help  cultivate HBO GO in Southeast Asia, giving input on what kids content to license. One of Lim’s key areas of focus is exploring new co-production opportunities in the region. And for acquisitions, she will work with WarnerMedia colleagues on teams in the US, EMEA and LatAm.

Based in Singapore, Lim reports to Leslie Lee, head of WarnerMedia Kids APAC. But she’ll also work closely with counterparts on the original production and development team, including Carlene Tan.

Before joining WarnerMedia, Lim managed co-production and acquisitions at Disney for its linear channels and regional streamer. And she also did stints at MTV Asia and StarHub.
