Book retailer Barnes & Noble is launching the first Spanish language digital bookstore in the US with NOOKbooks en español.

The service provides customers with access to Spanish language titles through NOOK color, NOOK 3G and NOOK Wi-Fi, as well as on the company’s free software available for iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Android, BlackBerry, PC and Mac.

Working with international and US-based publishers, Barnes & Noble will continue to expand its catalog of NOOKbooks en español, which currently includes roughly a third of the top-selling trade Spanish-language titles in the US.

NOOKbooks en español (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/ebooksenespanol) is the latest iteration in Barnes & Noble’s NOOKbook Store, which features more than two million digital titles, including books, newspapers, magazines and children’s content.
