YouTube Originals has greenlit a new preschool series called Tab Time from Kids at Play and Scale Productions.
Aimed at three- to five-year-olds, it stars popular YouTuber Tabitha Brown (a vegan foodie, author and cook also known as Ms. Tab), who uses her storytelling skills to help motivate kids to learn and discover new things. The 10-episode show premiered today on Brown’s YouTube channel (645,000 subscribers) and the YouTube Kids app.
In a lead first episode entitled “How Things Grow,” Brown and Avi the Avocado (Miles Brown) discover how a small seed can grow into a tall tree. Other celebrities—including Anna Camp, Ashley Nicole Black and Lil Rel Howard—are scheduled to make appearances as well.
This is just the latest new content pickup by YouTube, which just launched Moonbug Entertainment’s new Go Buster holiday special Buster Saves Christmas yesterday. The prodco is also working on a prequel to soccer series Supa Strikas for the AVOD.
