Non-profit Fred Rogers Productions (Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood) has brought in Aleya Crable Jennings (pictured) to lead its fundraising initiatives in the newly created role of director of corporate sponsorships and individual giving.
In her new role, Jennings will build the company’s relationships with sponsors and donors in order to support its ongoing education and social missions for children and families. She started January 24, working alongside director of institutional giving Alan Friedman. Both report to president and CEO Paul Siefken.
Jennings joins Fred Rogers from independent marketing communications agency Gatesman, where she served as an associate VP and group account director. Previously, Jennings worked as a senior marketing specialist at financial services company PNC.
Last year, Jennings made Pittsburgh Magazine and the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project’s 40 Under 40 list, which recognizes people whose career accomplishments, volunteer work and commitment to the Pittsburgh region make it a better place.
This new hire comes on the heels of Fred Rogers securing a US$2.7-million grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting for its latest series Alma’s Way, as well as a US$1-million grant from the Arthur Vining Davis Foundation to support production on Alma’s Way, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and Donkey Hodie.
