Nickelodeon has made a round of key appointments within its Ad Sales and Marketing groups.
Nelson Boyce has been named SVP of Ad Sales Strategy & Business Development, leaving Katy Loria to step in as SVP of Nickelodeon Digital Ad Sales. Additionally, Sharon Cohen has been named SVP of Integrated Marketing and Retail Marketing and Samantha Maltin has been appointed SVP of Nickelodeon Global Partnerships.
In his newly created role, Boyce will be responsible for developing sales strategies as well as identifying opportunities for new lines of business. He will work with the TV and Digital sales teams to recommend new business opportunities, including but not limited to, online acquisitions, new channel launches and strategic partnerships. Boyce also will work closely with internal research, marketing/promotions to develop strategies for Nickelodeon’s Upfront.
For her part, Loria will manage the advertising sales efforts for Nick’s family of digital sites, including Nick.com; Nickjr.com; Neopets.com; Parentsconnect.com; AddictingGames.com; TeenNick.com and Shockwave.com. She formerly served as VP of Linear Ad Sales, leading a team that crafted deals on behalf of advertisers like Kraft, P&G and Burger King.
Cohen, in her new role, will spearhead Nickelodeon’s integrated and retail marketing groups, working with the consumer products, programming, digital, production and promotions teams to develop new revenue-generating integration opportunities across Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, Nick Jr., Nicktoons and TeenNick. Cohen has held several positions at Nickelodeon during her 17-year tenure with MTV Networks. Most recently, she headed up the Integrated Solutions Group, crafting the strategy and overseeing the network’s Upfront presentations and outreach to the ad trade community.
As SVP of Nickelodeon Global Partnerships, Maltin will be working with Nickelodeon’s domestic and international Ad Sales groups to ensure opportunities for revenue generation across digital, consumer products and programming sales. A 13-year MTV Networks veteran, Maltin most recently was SVP of Integrated Marketing and Partnerships, MTVN Kids and Family Group, where she was responsible for the development and management of partnerships including those with Mattel, DreamWorks, Hasbro and Warner Bros.
