US moms are spending a total of 24 hours a week online, according to Disney Online’s June 2010 M.O.M. (Mom on a Mission) research study.
When asked about their interaction with technology, moms said that they turn to technological devices to help them get more done, manage their life and their family’s lives more effectively and stay better connected with family and friends.
The majority of moms are using computers (89%), mobile devices (84%), television (80%), digital cameras (77%) and social networks (55%).
Moms spend the most time on the Internet between the hours of 5 a.m. and noon connecting with others, finding information, planning activities and being entertained. Three out of four moms go online with a specific activity or goal in mind. And, aside from using the Internet as a source of information related to their child’s health, 71% take to the Internet in search of online deals and recipes.
