Germany’s Kiddinx Media is expanding the reach of audio entertainment IP Bibi & Tina outside its domestic market through a new deal with Warner Music Group, which will distribute the podcast episodes in English-speaking territories, and work with German distributor Zebralution on maximizing opportunities in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Bibi & Tina launched in 1991 as a radio series for kids ages 10 and up about the adventures of a 13-year-old witch and her friend, who share a love of horse riding. A podcast rolled out in 2010 and now comprises 101 episodes and two specials, which are available on all major podcast streaming platforms. To date, Bibi & Tina’s audio content has racked up 600 million streams on Spotify and more than 27 million sales worldwide, according to Kiddinx.

The brand has expanded over the years to include consumer products, five live-action movies (Bibi & Tina, Bibi & Tina: Bewildered and Bewitched, Bibi & Tina: Girls vs. Boys, Bibi & Tina: Perfect Pandemonium and Bibi and Tina: Simply Different, pictured) and an animated series called Bibi & Tina—The Series that’s available on Amazon Prime Video.

Kiddinx is also currently developing the first Bibi & Tina theme park with Karls Markt OHG, a German company that operates restaurants. Located in Berlin, the park will feature a themed hotel, shopping area and horse riding when it opens in 2024.

And finally, London-based licensing agency BRAND-WARD Services has been brought in to develop a marketing campaign targeting viewers in the UK, on the heels of securing streaming deals for Bibi & Tina—The Series on VOD platforms Amoeba, Playground TV and Roku.
