HarperCollins Children’s Books UK has appointed Helen Mackenzie Smith to the role of publishing director, Picture Books and Colour List.
Smith is now responsible for the strategic development of the list and working closely with the HarperCollins digital team to develop a publishing program across all platforms.
Mackenzie Smith has worked for Random House Children’s Books for more than 14 years on both the Hutchinson and Jonathan Cape children’s lists. She will join HarperCollins in January 2011, reporting to publisher Ann‐Janine Murtagh.
