Shaw Rocket Prize finalists announced

The Shaw Rocket Fund, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to supporting Canadian youth and family television programming, has announced the five finalists for this year's US$49,000 prize awarded to the best Canadian program targeted to children between the ages of six and 12.

The Shaw Rocket Fund, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to supporting Canadian youth and family television programming, has announced the five finalists for this year’s US$49,000 prize awarded to the best Canadian program targeted to children between the ages of six and 12.

A jury of industry experts in children’s television and media selected the finalists, which include Dino Dan (Sinking Ship Entertainment, broadcasters TVO, Knowledge Network, Access), How to be Indie (Heroic Film Company, broadcaster YTV), In Real Life (Apartment 11 Productions, broadcaster YTV Canada), Jimmy Two Shoes (Breakthrough Entertainment, broadcaster Teletoon Canada) and League of Super Evil (Nerd Corps Entertainment, broadcasters YTV, VRAK)

The judging is now passed on to a jury of Canadian children who will select the winner of the 2010 Shaw Rocket Prize from these five finalists. This announcement will be made on November 30 in Ottawa, Canada.
