The Chicago-based studio behind Nature Cat and Donkey Hodie has promoted producer Caroline Bandolik to VP of production, with an expanded remit that puts her in charge of multiple live-action and animated projects.

Bandolik joined Spiffy Pictures in 2014 and has worked on both of its signature kids shows in the ensuing years. In her new role, she will serve as Spiffy’s supervising producer on Donkey Hodie (a co-pro with Fred Rogers Productions for PBS KIDS) and new series Carl the Collector, which is set to premiere on PBS KIDS this fall

She’ll also be responsible for finding new co-pro opportunities and development projects to keep the studio’s pipeline humming along. A recent partnership she spearheaded was for a series of puppet-based music videos for preschoolers with Duolingo ABC.

Before joining Spiffy, Bandolik spent six years working on series including Arthur and Martha Speaks at Boston public broadcaster WGBH, moving up in the ranks from production assistant to associate producer.

Since brothers David and Adam Rudman founded Spiffy in 2003, it has also produced Bunnytown for Disney and Curious Buddies for Nick Jr.
