Thank you to everyone who cast a vote in our Friday Fun poll! To recap, we wanted to know which 2024 kids & family feature film is likely to get to US$500 million in box-office revenue first.
According to your votes, it should be one of summer’s two big sequel releases, Inside Out 2 (June 14) or Despicable Me 4 (July 3, pictured). These pics cornered 54.7% of the votes in our survey, with a slight edge going to Despicable Me 4 (28.3%).
There’s also some expectation brewing around The Garfield Movie (11.3%), which is due out on May 24. And while it may not be the first to crack US$500 million this year, given that it has a later launch on November 15, eyes are on Moana 2 (13.2%) to eventually get there.
