The BBC has partnered with Bristol-based game developer Mobile Pie to create a dedicated hub for its brands in Roblox and engage with more than 71 million users who visit the platform daily.

BBC Wonder Chase launched yesterday, featuring five explorable worlds inspired by popular Beeb shows including The Next Step, Doctor Who, EastEnders and Match of the Day. The goal of the game is for players to find hidden stickers and compete for top score in a suite of minigames (racing, football puzzles and scavenging for tiny animals).

Mobile Pie will continually support Wonder Chase by adding experiences throughout the year and developing new worlds for players to explore. The Roblox roadmap also includes plans to introduce outfits, accessories and stickers that can be used to customize avatars.

Beyond this key partnership with the BBC, Mobile Pie has built and launched a portfolio of mobile games and Roblox experiences for Aardman, Boomerang, Cartoon Network, Spil and Channel 4. They include Ben 10 Super Hero Time (2020), Gumball’s Amazing Party Game (2020) and Home Sheep Home: Farmageddon (2019).
