Moonscoop, Turner Broadcasting, Gamania and Telegael are adding a second season of animated action-adventure series Hero:108, with 52 x 11-minute new episodes scheduled to begin production. The announcement comes on the heels of the series’ launch on Turner Broadcasting channels in the US, UK and further international territories including Latin America, Germany, Italy, CEE, Iberia, Middle East, Asia and Africa earlier this year.
Additionally, the first season (also 52 x 11-minutes) has been acquired by GMTV in the UK, MBC in the Middle East and Mexico’s Televisa.
A co-production between Moonscoop, Turner Broadcasting, Gamania and Telegael, Hero: 108 follows the adventures of a group of young defenders determined to end a conflict between animals and humans in The Hidden Kingdom. The series is supported by a promotional platform, Hero:108 Online, which is a Massively Multi-Player Online Game (MMOG) that launched at the end of summer.
In the fall, a line of toy products is being launched by Playmates, the worldwide master toy licensee. Further deals have been signed with Mad Engine for apparel and Atlantyca Entertainment in publishing.
