London-based Cake Entertainment has added three new members to its team, with David Furness joining as marketing manager, Emilie Frelon as head of finance and Jonathan Dyer coming on-board as head of business affairs.

Furness will look after all aspects of Cake’s marketing and communications, from print and design management to advertising, budgets and corporate messaging. He was previously at BBC Worldwide, working across titles such as In the Night Garden and Planet Earth.

Frelon has been appointed to supervise the company’s expansion and help structure the financing of upcoming shows currently in the distribution pipeline. She joins from the M&A department at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where she worked in both Paris and Madrid offices for blue-chip organizations.

As head of business affairs, Dyer will be responsible for the management of Cake’s intellectual property rights. He will also oversee the contractual process of acquiring properties for Cake’s expanding program catalogue and the licensing of TV, home entertainment and new media rights to the company’s global partners. Dyer joins from German-based kids television production and distribution company TV-Loonland AG.
