UK broadcaster Sky Kids is beefing up its programming lineup for the year ahead by commissioning three brand-new series concepts and renewing another three shows that are already on air.
Jaime’s Yoga Adventures, Emerald and Ten Little…who? have been greenlit as Sky Originals, and all three titles are slated to launch in 2025 (although a sneak preview of Ten Little…who? will drop this Christmas).
Focused on teaching kids yoga moves and mindfulness techniques, Jaime’s Yoga Adventures (80 x 15 minutes) stars Jaime Amor—the yoga teacher and YouTuber behind popular channel Cosmic Kids Yoga (1.65 million subscribers)—and her crew of animal besties. It will be produced domestically by Cosmic Kids and Zodiak Kids & Family.
Sky Kids is also doubling down on its book-based Isadora Moon series (which it commissioned in 2022 and premiered last November) with a new spinoff called Emerald that adapts Harriet Muncaster’s books about a rebellious mermaid princess. This 2D-animated toon is heading into production as an 18 x 11-minute series and 22-minute special at London’s Kelebek Media, with Jam Media doing the animation in Ireland.
And finally, based on a series of picture books penned by Mike Brownlow, Ten Little…who? is in the pipeline at London-based Karrot Animation. Each episode of this 2D-animated series (25 x five minutes) will feature playful songs about numbers performed by a different set of fantastical characters—ranging from elves, to pirates, to dinosaurs.
Sky Kids has also renewed London-based MonRae Productions’ gamer-focused series Let’s Game for a fourth season (40 x five minutes). And moving ahead with second-season orders are Omen Studios’ CG-animated 123 Number Squad! (52 x 11 minutes) and Three Arrows Media’s Awesome Animals & Mini Me (37 x 11 minutes).
