The Toy Foundation unveiled its nominee list for 2025’s Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards yesterday, and the LEGO Group has scored a whopping 10 nods, playing well outside its construction-set lane.  

Some less obvious awards the Danish brickmaker is in contention to win include Action Figure of the Year (LEGO DC Batman), Collectible of the Year (Dungeons & Dragons Minifigures) and Vehicle of the Year (LEGO Technic Mercedes-AMG F1), but it’s also on the shortlist for Construction Playset of the Year with LEGO City Space Base. 

Spin Master has a total of eight TOTYs nominations this year, including Creative Toy of the Year (Melissa & Doug Sticker WOW!), Plush Toy of the Year (Ms. Rachel Speak & Sing Doll) and Tech Toy of the Year (Bitzee Disney). Plus, its Ms. Rachel range as a whole is going up against Squishmallows, Bluey, Barbie and Pokémon for License of the Year. 

The Toy Foundation will announce 2025’s 16 TOTY winners in New York on February 28, 2025 in advance of Toy Fair kicking off the following week. Voting is open to the public until January 10.
