RDF Rights has commissioned Copyright Licensing Agency to represent merchandising rights for Waybuloo in the Middle East (excluding Israel). The focus will be to secure licensing partners across all categories, excluding toys and publishing.

Waybuloo launched on Baraem, the Al Jazeera-owned first preschool Arabic television channel, in August. RDFR licensed the first 100 episodes of the series, which broadcast twice daily in Arabic during weekdays.

Waybuloo, produced by The Foundation, part of the RDF Media Group, and Decode Entertainment for CBeebies, currently airs in 79 countries worldwide. Internationally, licensing programmes have rolled out in Australia and New Zealand. Other key categories will roll out late 2011.

In addition to these international deals, RDF Rights has recently secured new UK licensees – MV Sports for Waybuloo Wheeled Toys and Mookie for Playballs.
