Industry vet Louis Fournier has been appointed to the newly created position of VP of sales and acquisitions at Toronto, Canada-based Portfolio International.
In addition to selling programs internationally, the distribution exec will be expanding Portfolio’s factual and lifestyle catalogue and setting a multi-platform sales direction.
Most recently, Fournier was VP of business development at online game and virtual world developer Tribal Nova. From 2005 to 2008, Fournier was president of Galakids, a division of Galafilm and is also known for his work at CINAR as VP of sales and distribution, where he marketed kids’ properties such as Arthur, Caillou and Mona the Vampire.
