
- Industrial Light & Magic alum Naomi Stopa (pictured) has joined Canadian animation studio Bardel Entertainment (The Dragon Prince) as VP of production. With more than 25 years of experience in VFX and animation work, Stopa is coming off a two-year stint as the head of studio at the Vancouver outpost of the visual effects giant Framestore (Avatar: The Last Airbender).
- Ben Buchanan has been hired as SVP of worldwide distribution at Sony Pictures Entertainment (KPop Demon Hunters) according to an announcement on his LinkedIn. Buchanan previously spent seven years at Netflix in various roles overseeing content acquisitions, including kids and family content licensing. Among the deals he closed was the Netflix Original acquisition of The Mitchells vs. the Machines.
