- Building off a Monster High collab from earlier this year, Mattel is co-creating a new Barbie x Playmobil toy collection that will roll out to retailers worldwide in 2026. While SKU details are still under wraps, the new collection is inspired by Mattel Television’s CG-animated Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures series. Playmobil has teased the first figure in the collection, which sees Barbie on roller skates as she walks her dog.
- US coffee chain La La Land Kind Café has teamed up with Disney to design its first-ever kids menu. Launching across all 23 La La Land storefronts on August 19, the limited-time menu items include five mini drinks and three toast items with custom Mickey & Friends packaging. The four-week promotion also extends to the furry members of the family, with Pluto-inspired pup cups and complimentary bandanas.
- Goliath Games has acquired the worldwide manufacturing and distribution rights to the children’s board game Elefun from Hasbro. Under the deal, Goliath will refresh the ’90s game with new editions and gameplay mechanics. The goal of Elefun is to race to collect the most butterflies as they are shot out from an elephant’s trunk and fly around the room.
- Chinese prodco Sunwoo & Company has tapped AliLeo Media to serve as the distributor for its CG-animated action-adventure series Supertrons (26 x 12 minutes) in the US and Western Europe. The series follows a young boy named Davi who teams up with five armored dinosaurs to fight evil monsters that are attacking the Earth.
- As the back-to-school season approaches, Krispy Kreme and Warner Bros. Discovery have teamed up to launch a Harry Potter-themed donut collection next week. Four of the new donut designs are inspired by the four iconic Hogwarts houses, and they can be paired with a sweet Golden Snitch latte until September 14.
- China’s Winsing Animation has signed a new broadcast deal with Boomerang Thailand to air its flagship CG-animated preschool toon GG Bond: Racing. The series currently airs in China through streamers Youku and Tencent, with season 10 set to debut on August 22.
