Pam Kaufman, Paramount’s president and CEO of international markets, global consumer products and experiences, has announced that she will be leaving after almost 30 years with the company.
Kaufman posted about her exit on LinkedIn today, adding that she will stay on as a consultant with Paramount until the end of the year. Several other C-suite and senior-level executives have stepped down from Paramount after its sale to Skydance Media in August, including Brian Robbins (CEO of Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon), Tom Ryan (CEO of Paramount streaming), Chris McCarthy (Co-CEO of Paramount Global) and David Bittler (EVP of communications).
Kaufman started at Paramount in 1997 as a VP of promotions and marketing for Nickelodeon. Rising through the ranks, she did stints as Nick’s first CMO (2008 to 2014), Viacom’s president of global consumer products (2018 to 2021) and president of Paramount consumer products and experiences (2021 to 2022).
Throughout her career, Kaufman has contributed to building L&M programs for major kids franchises including SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, PAW Patrol and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. At the time of her exit, Kaufman was overseeing a consumer products business that generated more than US$7 billion in retail revenue, spanning 170 international markets and 30 teams around the world.
