  • France Télévisions and RTÉ in Ireland have both come on board as broadcast partners for Karrot Entertainment/Kavaleer Productions’ recently announced CBeebies series MaeBee (pictured). And France TV Distribution will sell the 2D-animated series outside of English-speaking territories, which will be handled by Karrot. MaeBee (52 x seven minutes) revolves around a young bee and her gnome brother who try to fill a book with all the information they learn in their garden. The series is set for a Q3 2026 delivery.

  • SEGA and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) have signed a multi-year licensing agreement for a co-branded merchandising program starring Sonic the Hedgehog. This “Five Rings” collaboration will feature the speedy blue critter with the Olympic rings in a bid to attract fans of all ages to get engaged with the games. SEGA and the IOC are now seeking licensing partners to put the new designs on merch, with plans to roll out the first products in 2026. This deal is part of a broader IOC strategy to connect with fans through licensed merch.

  • Hasbro and Tonies have expanded their long-term licensing agreement to bring select Hasbro games to the new Toniebox 2 device. Under this broader deal, three Hasbro games (including Monopoly) will be available starting in 2026 as screen-free interactive games. Previously, the Toniebox only featured audio stories and music. Tonies has already signed several big brands as licensing partners for the new console, including Disney, PAW Patrol and Gabby’s Dollhouse.

  • Warner Bros. Discovery Consumer Products has signed a licensing deal with ASDA Home in the UK for a new home decor line inspired by Tom and Jerry Gokko. This short-form series launched in July and gives the duo a cute anime-inspired makeover. It has generated more than 70 million views across platforms including YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. ASDA Home will launch its collection in the first half of 2026.
