DEALS: Spooky movie Monster Mia locks in its first theatrical partners

  • Sola Media has signed the first distribution deals for Arx Anima’s upcoming CG-animated feature film Monster Mia. The initial wave of buyers for this spooky family pic includes New Horizons (Poland), Plaion Pictures (Germany), Tanweer (Greece), Filmbridge (Mongolia) and Pro Films (Bulgaria), which will aim to release it in theaters next October for Halloween. 

 

  • WWE has has formed a new tag team with German toyco Playmobil to create a line of co-branded action figures. A first wave of SKUs will launch worldwide in Q2 2026, featuring wrestlers Roman Reigns, Hulk Hogan, Cody Rhodes and Rhea Ripley. 

 

  • European toyco Market Plush has inked a new licensing deal with Powerkids Entertainment to create a plush collection for its CG-animated series The Jungle Book. Market Plush will unveil stuffy versions of Mowgli, Baloo and Shere Khan to potential buyers at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in January, with a Q2 retail rollout across Europe planned for next year.
