Mark Rober, the former NASA engineer turned kid-friendly YouTube darling, has launched his first-ever FAST channel in a deal with Samsung TV Plus to broaden his reach to an international TV audience.

The channel is available now in more than a dozen countries, including the US, the UK, Spain, India, Canada and Australia. Mark Rober TV features videos from his YouTube channel in which he conducts over-the-top experiments (like building a roller coaster or blowing up a building) to make learning about science fun and interesting.

Rober is a genuine digital-first star, with more than 71 million subscribers on YouTube. Kidscreen recently pegged him as one of a handful of kid-friendly YouTube creators with potential to break into the mainstream and become a household name—and clearly, we weren’t the only ones who saw his blend of science and wonder as a formula for success. He’s been firing on all cylinders in the past year, establishing a consumer products partnership with Moose Toys, teaming up with fellow YouTuber ever MrBeast on a clean water campaign, and making a series of science videos with kids YouTube channel Toys and Colors

And, of course, there’s his deal with Netflix for a science competition series (launching in 2026), which Rober will host.

It makes a lot of sense that the latest step in the kids media empire he’s building would be a FAST channel. Samsung TV Plus has strong reach, with more than 88 million monthly active users as of October 2024. Launching the channel is a way to build out his audience even further around the world, to people—and kids—who aren’t necessarily online.

Significantly, Samsung TV Plus has been making a push lately to bring some familiar kid-friendly creators into its ecosystem. The service’s lineup of channels also includes MrBeast, Dhar Mann TV (inspirational videos for tweens/teens) and Brave Wilderness (animal/nature-focused content). Working with Rober also helps it reach a broader audience. “As part of our growing creator roster, Mark Rober TV captures a shared sense of wonder that brings generations together,” said Salek Brodsky, SVP and global head of Samsung Plus TV.
