BBC Worldwide has launched a new trading card game based on CBBC wildlife series Deadly 60. The new line will make its UK launch on August 25.

Deadly 60 is one of CBBC’s most popular factual series, where wildlife presenter Steve Backshall tracks down the world’s deadliest animals. Aimed at six- to 12-year-olds, the trading card game is made up of 165 cards featuring pictures and facts on the creatures from the first two series of the show.

The cards will be sold in packs of eight for a price of US$1.50 apiece, with which children can collect, trade and play games. The collection includes Rare shiny cards and Super Rare Rainbow shiny cards as well as deadly Skull cards, which act as jokers in game-play.

While the game line is only available in the UK at the moment, BBC Worldwide says it’s open to exploring international distribution opportunities.
