PEOPLE: Priya Dogra to join Channel 4 as CEO next year

Plus, NHK has promoted Tasuhiko Inoue to president, and Secret Level has hired Christina Lee Storm to lead its AI-powered narrative division.

Channel 4 appoints Priya Dogra as its new chief executive

The former chief advertising, group data and new revenue officer at Sky (pictured) will leverage her 20 years of experience working across the global media industry to spearhead business strategies and develop new programming for the Channel 4 network. Dogra will start in March, replacing interim CEO Jonathan Allan. Before joining Sky, Dogra also had several senior executive roles at WarnerMedia, including president of EMEA and Asia (2020-22), EVP of strategy and corporate development (2018-20) and SVP of mergers & acquisitions (2015-18). 

 

NHK ups EVP Tatsuhiko Inoue to president 

Succeeding current president Nobuo Inaba, Inoue will begin his three-year term as NHK prez on January 25. His career at the Japanese broadcaster began in 1980 as a news reporter, where he worked up the corporate ladder until he reached the executive board in 2014. Throughout his tenure, Inoue has overseen programming and scheduling as president and CEO of NHK affiliates NHK 1-Tech and B-SAT, and became EVP at the company in 2023. 

 

Netflix and DreamWorks alum joins Secret Level 

Veteran production executive Christina Lee Storm has landed at LA-based AI studio Secret Level to head up its new narrative division. Her remit includes spearheading the creative development of all narrative projects as well as managing budgeting and resources, financing and distribution. The studio’s recent work includes developing multiple ad campaigns for Coca-Cola, Mercedes, Snapchat and Intel. 

 

Pact rejigs its C-suite

The UK producer trade body has named policy consultant Nigel Warner as its new CEO, replacing John McVay after 25 years in the role. Warner will take over in March following a brief handover period next year. He will represent the interests of hundreds of prodcos working in the UK and tackle issues such as improving tax credits, developing AI protections and negotiating contracts with the actors union Equity. McVay will stay on as an advisor for a brief period following the transition to help lead the trade body’s political campaigns. 

 

Asmodee announces leadership transition

After 24 years at the board game maker, Steve Buckmaster is stepping down as chief commercial officer next year and will transition into an advisory role. The company has named deputy chief commercial officer Marjolein Lubberman as his successor, who will take over all of Buckmaster’s duties and join the executive management team by spring. Lubberman reports to CEO Thomas Koegler.
