David Hutchinson joins TeamFalco as creative director
This UK-based digital IP consulting firm has hired former WildBrain Spark senior creative producer David Hutchinson (pictured, in the middle) as its new creative director. Over the course of seven years at Spark, Hutchinson created two digital-first animated series: Boy & Dragon (7.1 million YouTube subscribers) and Emojitown (1.9 million subscribers). He’ll leverage that experience into helping TeamFalco clients with YouTube content creation, audience development and production, as well as creating a slate of proprietary digital-first originals. Also former WildBrain Spark staffers, Nico Lockhart and Jessie Stephenson launchedTeamFalco last May, and they have since picked up clients including BBC Children’s & Education, Screen Australia and Lapland UK.
beIN brings in a director of content for APAC
Guna Kaliannan has joined Singapore-based broadcaster beIN Asia Pacific to oversee its content strategy. Kaliannan has previously worked in acquisitions at ESPN and Discovery Networks, and he was also a director at Asian media group Singtel, where he oversaw kids content as part of his portfolio. BeIN airs a diverse variety of children’s programming, including Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Paddington in Peru.
