WildBrain CPLG taps Marie Kopp to lead APAC licensing

The former director of Hasbro’s APAC & MENA business joins WildBrain CPLG today to spearhead new growth opportunities for clients and in-house brands by leveraging her experience in these markets (excluding Greater China). Kopp (pictured) is based in Singapore and will report to WildBrain’s EVP of global partnerships and licensing Maarten Weck. She has also previously served in APAC-focused licensing roles at Warner Bros. Discovery, The Smiley Company and Disney. 

 

Disney appoints a new GM and head of D2C in Mexico 

Amid a regional restructure, Luis Arvizu will start with the Mouse House on February 16, overseeing original productions and the studio’s direct-to-consumer business in this key market. He will report to Disney LatAm president Martín Iraola and work with LatAm direct-to-consumer VP Renato D’Angelo to develop strategies for bolstering the company’s user base in Mexico. Before joining Disney, Arvizu was Mexican managing director for MiQ, and he has held similar positions at TelevisaUnivision (digital VP) and ViX (managing director). 

 

Adam Waltuch lands at Paramount in an SVP role

Also a former TelevisaUnivision exec, Waltuch will spearhead partnerships and distribution for Paramount+ and Pluto TV in both Canada and LatAm. He exited TelevisaUnivision in December after overseeing growth strategies for the company’s linear, FAST and streaming businesses as VP of global distribution and alliances for four years. Waltuch is also a former director of partner marketing in the US and Canada for Netflix.
