Coming out of Magic Marketplace currently underway in Las Vegas, Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE) has partnered with Hybrid Apparel to create a line of youth apparel based on the CN action-adventure series, Generator Rex.
The product line is set to hit all tiers of US retail in spring 2011 and will feature a range of tops for boys ages four to 20, including long and short-sleeved t-shirts, two-fers, fleece, and sweatshirts.
Hybrid Apparel joins a roster of launch partners for Generator Rex that currently includes Mattel as the brand’s global master toy partner, Hallmark for party goods and social expression and DC Comics. Additionally, CNE will release the first title in the Generator Rex home entertainment franchise on October 19 with Warner Home Video. Additional partners for the brand will be announced in the coming weeks.
The newest action-adventure original series from Cartoon Network, Generator Rex was created by Man of Action (creators of the Ben 10 franchise) and produced at Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank, CA. The network has committed to producing at least 40 episodes of the series, and has also created an online game, Generator Rex: Nanite Master, featured at CartoonNetwork.com that has had more than 6.9 million game plays since its launch in March.
