Lionsgate hires its first chief AI officer

Kathleen Grace, who previously worked at YouTube and AI firm Vermillio, has joined the Hunger Games and Twilight studio to head up AI strategy and execution. She’s tasked with creating efficiencies in production and distribution, providing tools to support creatives, and ensuring Lionsgate’s IPs are protected in the AI wild west. Bullish about this technology, the studio teamed up with AI company Runway in 2024 to train a model based on its portfolio that could be used to create new content.

Global Constellation promotes Léo Teste to head up theatrical sales

The German distributor, which picked up ICON Creative Studio’s Dragoons film earlier this week, has promoted director of sales and distribution Léo Teste (pictured) to head of sales for its theatrical division. Teste joined the company in 2019 and has been handling a portfolio that includes The Last Whale Singer and Charlie the Wonderdog. Global Constellation has also hired Lorenzo Bellassai as a sales executive. He comes from Pan-Européenne, a French distributor that (like Global Constellation) is owned by Vuelta Group.
