WildBrain to rep Grizzy & the Lemmings 

The Toronto-based distributor has picked up US FAST and AVOD sales rights to all four seasons of HARI’s flagship CG-animated preschool series (312 x seven minutes). This new partnership kicked off todaywith WildBrain rolling out a Grizzy & the Lemmings FAST channel on the Roku Channel, as well as featuring the series on its WildBrain Kids and WildBrain Zoo YouTube channels. 

Angel Studios picks up Odo season two

The faith-based streamer has acquired the second season of Letko and Sixteen South’s 2D-animated preschool series Odo (52 x seven minutes), which will be available on the platform as of April 22. Season one premiered in 2021 and has since sold into more than 150 countries worldwide. 

The ’70s BBC kids series Mr Benn is getting a live-action film 

Four prodcos—48 Films, BeaglePug, Jackpot Productions and One Story High—are turning the British 2D-animated kids series Mr Benn, about a man who has adventures when he visits a costume shop, into a live-action film. Kirk Jones (I Swear) is attached to direct, and British comedian Jack Whitehall is producing the film. The BBC only aired 13 episodes of the series in the ’70s, but the show has remained an acclaimed piece of British kids TV. 

IMG Licensing adds a classic client to its roster

As the exclusive North American licensing agent for The Little Prince, IMG will use its expertise to develop a new consumer products program for the 80-year-old brand, and has earmarked toys, apparel, gifts, games and novelties as key product categories to focus on initially. 

Tubi orders a gaming-led YA romance film

The AVOD streamer has greenlit a new live-action feature film for teens called Game On, which will go into production at Blue Ice Pictures later this month. Set in the world of competitive video gaming, the pic revolves around a talented gamer named Casey, who decides to spark up a fake romance with her archenemy in order to study his moves and take him down. Their chemistry turns out to be real, throwing a wrench into her plans.
