LEGO gets a Gold Star for its push to protect children online

The toyco launched the next phase of its initiative just as worldwide concern about kids’ digital safety hit critical mass.

With social media companies potentially facing their “Big Tobacco” moment, there was no better time for The LEGO Group to launch the next phase of its campaign with UNICEF to get the video game industry to adopt new tools and guidelines to protect kids’ safety online. Respondents agreed—and decided that the Danish brick-maker deserves this week’s Gold Star!
