Bluey fetches a new video game

BBC Studios, Ludo Studio and Paris-based video game developer Gameloft have teamed up to develop Bluey’s Happy Snaps (pictured), launching sometime this year. The game focuses on Bluey finding an old camera and using it to explore locations from the show, like her home and the park, while collecting stickers and building a scrapbook. Kids can play on their own or co-operatively. Bandai Namco is publishing the game, which will be available on PC and consoles in multiple languages, including English, French and Japanese.

Alcon Media Group taps Parrot Analytics to inform its IP strategy

The Garfield Movie producer has partnered with the analytics company to identify what IPs in its portfolio are in demand, which ones could work as a franchise, and whether it’s a good time to reintroduce old properties to the market. Alcon’s catalogue also includes the Dolphin Tale movies. Parrot is well-known for its analytics that examine how “in demand” shows and IPs are, based on video views, social media interactions, online research and piracy numbers. (It also found last year that demand for kids content is on the rise.)

Muse Communication secures Indonesian licensing rights for Crayon Shin-Chan

The Japanese tween/teen-skewing anime series could soon build its presence in Indonesia thanks to a deal that will see Muse developing new branded products, securing co-branding deals and launching event activations. The anime, which has pretty mature and irreverent humor, focuses on a five-year-old kid’s daily slice-of-life adventures. Based on a manga, the anime has run since 1992 and has been spun off multiple times, including into movies.
