Roblox had another very strong quarter, with growth across multiple KPIs, including revenue, monthly active unique paying users and average daily active users—and the gaming platform revealed its ambitions to evolve in multiple ways.

These are the kids & family highlights from Roblox’s Q1 financial report and earnings call.

The bottom line: Revenue was up 39% to US$1.4 billion, compared with Q1 2025

Bookings also up: A 43% increase to US$1.7 billion

Users rose: Average daily active users jumped 35% to 132 million

And they spent more time on the platform: Hours engaged rose 43% to 31 billion

There are more paying users too: Monthly unique payers increased 52% to 31 million

Games outside the top 10 saw growth: It’s not just the biggest games on the platform that do well. The games outside of the top 10 saw a 43% boost in engagement, and a 41% rise in spending, CFO Naveen Chopra said during the earnings call.

A vision of a high-fidelity future: The company shared its vision for an AI-powered system called Roblox Reality, aimed at making it easy for creators to make photorealistic multiplayer games. This evolution would move the platform away from its traditional blocky style. The company shared a demo of what this could look like in the future. The company says it hopes to roll out an early version of the feature later this year or early next year.

A new subscription: The company has globally launched Roblox Plus, a US$4.99-per-month version of the platform that includes discounts on in-game items, avatars and access to private servers (so users can more easily control who they play with). Roblox is no longer offering sign-ups for its previous subscription, Roblox Premium, but existing subscribers can keep their membership.

Building for kid safety builds value: The company didn’t focus much on kids in this report, but it did highlight the power of its new Kids and Select accounts, which were unveiled in mid-April. “Kids accounts and Select accounts offer the long-term opportunity of increasing safety and civility, which in turn drives organic engagement growth, in line with our mission to connect a billion users with optimism and civility,” Roblox founder and CEO David Baszucki said in the earnings call.

Roblox forecasts moderate growth for the full year: It expects full-year 2026 bookings will be 8% to 12% higher than the year before. Full-year revenue is expected to be 20% to 25% up from 2025.
