How do you say, “seven-foot frame, rats along his back” in sign language? Disney recently completely re-animated three of its feature film musical numbers in ASL, finally giving deaf kids the chance to sing along with Moana and more of their faves. Then soon after, CBeebies rolled out its first series featuring deaf kids, in a show that’s all about singing nursery rhymes in BSL. These aren’t small undertakings, and readers rewarded these legitimate efforts to make more accessible content with a Gold Star.
