OuiDo! Productions and Wyncor partner to co-produce two series 

The companies have teamed up to co-develop and produce the animated series The Kwaaks! and BABS! (pictured), which they’ll distribute through the new joint-venture Wyncor Content Distribution. The Kwaaks! is a 52 x 11-minute CG-animated action-comedy. Aimed at five to eights, it’s based on Wyncor’s plush duck brand. Both companies have a 50% stake in Wyncor Content Distribution. As part of the partnership, OuiDo! is taking a 40% stake in the brand, which the companies say is a sign of the “long-term franchise potential” of the IP. BABS! (52 x 11 minutes) is a CG-animated series about a girl who can talk to animals and starts an animal babysitting service. Wyncor is a Miami-based toyco looking to expand its IPs into content, licensing, digital games and experiential platforms. Meanwhile, Paris-based studio OuiDo!’s credits include Alvinnn!!! & the Chipmunks and Magicampers (for Disney Jr.).

The Search ages down with a new spinoff

Spain’s Aragón TV has commissioned an offshoot of the popular game show (known regionally as Sopa de Letras) for younger audiences. Globomedia is producing this spinoff, which is titled Sopa de Letras Zagales and will feature a trio of tween teams competing in a word search-style tournament on a large LED grid. The Search format was originally developed by Keshet International and Youngest Media for Israeli channel Keshet 12.

Asmodee completes its acquisition of Time’s Up!

The tabletop publisher has secured the rights to Time’s Up!—a charades-style game where players have to guess real people, fictional characters or animals from a card. Peter Sarrett created the title, originally published by R&R Games in 1999. Since 2005, the game has been licensed to and published by Asmodee. Time’s Up! has launched many editions over the years, including kid-targeted versions and a Harry Potter licensed edition. Zygomatic, a publishing imprint of Asmodee, will refresh the Time’s Up! range beginning in 2027.
