Sesame Street‘s iconic Muppet Grover is set to star in a brand new series called Super Grover 2.0 (13 x six minutes), where he will help convey a STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) curriculum to preschoolers.
The series will also be featured as a segment on Sesame Street in the US this September and is one of three new shows in development that the producers of Sesame Street will be introducing at MIPCOM in October.
Other Sesame shows that pair Muppet characters with age-appropriate curriculum include Count TV (26 x five minutes), which focuses on the development of early math skills and Goodnight, Elmo (52 x five minutes), which features Elmo and his dad in their bedtime routine.
Also available at MIPCOM is The Sesame International Web Starter Kit, which allows kids to engage online with Elmo, Cookie Monster, Bert, Ernie and other Sesame characters. The Sesame International Web Starter Kit is a modular set of web building blocks that include interactive games, videos and coloring pages.
